Setting up the watercooling

I needed a sweet watercooling setup to add to the industrial feel of this mod. This was obviously going to require some hosing, some nipples and some clever design work.

Here are the watercooling nipples that I'm going to use throughout the case.

I made a prototype of the block where the nipples would go, out of some plastic... A lot of man hours went into this thing (filing, sanding, milling, all the usual stuff). I used this little tool to tap the required size for the barbs.

The hoses need to be kept straight as they travel across the top of the case, and a small piece of 6mm acrylic will do the job nicely. The hoses are mounted on the top of the case with the nipples protruding (ooerr) down into the main chassis. This should create a very fancy effect.

Here's what the top mounting looks like. Nice, huh?
